WORLD MILITARY ORIENTEERING CHAMPIONSHIP 2010 |
|
The INVITATION of the 43rd World Military Orienteering Championship is now on the CISM webpage/Calendar. The Championship was confirmed in January 2010. This means that there was no money planned for the event. The money has been taken from other activities. To be able to organize the championship, the programme is cut by one day. All orienteering activities will be within walking distance from the accomodation. No time will be spent on transports. The Model Event is planned both on 16th and 17th August in the morning. Middle distance will be on the 17th in the afternoon. Start intervall middle is 1 min with dispersion. This is done to cut the time and to be able to organize. Long and Relay as normal. Best orienteering regards Harald |

Anne Heikoop the Dutch chief of mission took part in the Masters in Australia. He reports that the competitions were well organised with nice maps (hilly and with a lot big stones) and good coursesetting. He even saw some kangeroes during his races. |
